Community Development (BA)

People involved with government, neighbourhood groups, social action, overseas aid, schools, local councils, sustainability, Indigenous groups, social services, the arts, business and tourism are all talking about community development as a new way of doing things. This often involves improving and enhancing the conditions and circumstances of local people and helping community groups identify and obtain resources to deal with community problems and aspirations. This major provides you with a sociological perspective relevant to community development.
