Public Policy & Management at Murdoch
Murdoch is the one university in Western Australia that offers this program at an undergraduate level. Murdoch's Public Policy and Management provides students with the conceptual frameworks and the specialist skills they need to be effective managers and leaders in the public and private sectors. It also provides an educational experience that is both adventurous and up-to-date. Students are taught by members of academic staff noteworthy for both research excellence and dedication to teaching. Students of this program are taught how to critically analyse and improve systems rather than tinker with the symptoms. Murdoch's Public Policy and and Management Curriculum is flexible enough to allow students to tailor the course in order to acquire either a broad-based or specialised education in policy and management. The program offers a scholarship to study for one semester in the Department of Public and Social Administration at the City University of Hong Kong. What can I do after Murdoch's Public Policy and Management? Graduates have the option of working at different levels of government organisations (Commonwealth, state and local), such as the Department of the Prime Minister and cabinet, the Parliament and departments. Graduates may also join the numerous annual graduate recruitment programs offered nationally (e.g. Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) and internationally (e.g. Shell services International).
